While Reading A Foodie Magazine
My husband and I were sitting together in our living room last night talking about my blog. I was reading my newest Cooking Light magazine and it came to me. I really love food. I really love recipes. I get great satisfaction putting together a unique blend of ingredients and coming up with a dish that’s totally healthy. Something that is very tasty and as an added bonus is very affordable. This is definitely another interest to explore with my readers.
I have resisted getting involved with food again. When my kids were in elementary school, I bought a small bakery in a local ski town. My first day of getting up at 4 am to make muffins and pastries fresh for our local crowd was eye opening. I sold that bakery to a woman who worked with me and she still runs it twenty years later. My next foray into food was a wholesale bakery which fit my lifestyle better. Working Monday through Friday, this business grew to include thirty different items delivered to hundreds of shops in Vermont and New Hampshire. When it was time to move on, again I was fortunate to sell this business to one of my employees.
Healthy food is nurturing and providing quality meals is satisfying. Not getting sucked into crazy fads but to create food that is wholesome, nutritious, and delicious. That is my passion.
Other lifestyle concepts will be explored, like meditation and relaxation. And the importance of maintaining a healthy creative lifestyle including exercise, being kind, and having gratitude. Showing organizational elements to our lives. I really do enjoy all of the other blogs that I read. To find my voice in and amongst all of it and be able to share and create and follow my dream of being independent, of being a whole and healthy person, of being self reliance and have a lifestyle that embodies by ideals and my dreams.
